Innovate and Network: Launch of the 33rd Funding Round for SME Projects

Abstract

IraSME is a network of ministries and funding agencies which are owners and/or managers of national or regional funding programmes for cooperative research and development projects between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Against the background of growing competition in global markets, IraSME supports SMEs in their transnational innovation activities, helps them to acquire technological know-how, extend their networks and bridge the gap between research and innovation. The coordination of the network is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). With our innovations in Symbiotic Key Management Systems and PQC-ready architectural goals, we are currently aiming towards a joint initiative with multiple new partners, including research groups at the University of Passau, the Turkish SMEs Medron and Demsay and finally Istanbul Arel University. Our goal is to utilise IraSME to facilitate the collaborative and joint funding between respective countries to support the research, development and dissemination efforts of our secure infrastructure. This will be demonstrated in a real, medical context - providing a secure, unified system for supporting wide-ranging functionalities within a hospital environment.
